Why What You Put On Your Body Is As Important As What You Put In It

Your skin is the largest and fastest growing organ in your body. Your skin protects you, it is your first layer of defense against germs, it keeps you warm, it's how you feel hugs, and it is a huge part of how you sense the world. Your sense of touch.

Many of my patients ask me: "Why does it matter if you use organic skin care or processed skin care?" My immediate answer is toxins. Know what you are putting on and in your body, our bodies are designed to heal themselves. When you put things into or on your body that are full of toxins it can cause all kinds of issues to develop. Some people have food allergies, where if they eat a certain food they react in an itchy rash, or end up with a stomachache. What most people don't know is that something toxic you apply to your skin can cause headaches or even nausea.

In my office I believe in treating my patients like my family. I am very aware of the products that I use on my patients, especially my little patients. I believe in supporting companies that do that right thing and take care of their customers like family. Here are a few of the companies that I personally use at home and in my office.

1. Neal's Yard Remedies: I discovered them while traveling with family in London, England. They are the world first health and beauty company to be awarded 100/100 for ethics. All of their products come in gorgeous dark blue recyclable glass or recycled plastic. They recently began launching their products in the United States, and I am thrilled! I use Neal's Yard Remedies for supplements, essential oil, and natural skin care. If you want to check our their products use this link: https://us.nyrorganic.com/shop/jackieromanies

2. Abundantly Aromatic: I discovered Renee and her amazing line of products at the Dallas Farmer's Market, she has aromatic sprays, soaps, luxurious candles, and my favorite her natural handmade Shea butter. My office often smells like her signature Rosemary Orange Mint room spray. You can order her products online at www.abundatlyaromatic.com or find her booth at the Dallas Farmers Market.

3. Relief Cream By Corganics : If you are looking for pain relief cream, this is one of my favorites to use in the office, while I do not use it on the kiddos, adults love it! It smells amazing and it is effective at relieving pain and discomfort with a natural combination of essential oils. I carry Corganics Relief Cream in the office, but if you want to see more of their natural products visit their website at: www.corganics.com.
