Workout Wednesday Tips:

One of my favorite ways to work out is a good yoga hot yoga class, it's challenging, cleansing and helps you focus your energy and attention on areas in your body that need to unwind. If you can't make it to a class due to a busy schedule there are lots of great home video options! I've listed a few of the ones I like to use below for you to look into. This Wednesday I challenge you to do some yoga, even if it is only 5-10 minutes of gentle stretching. You would be amazed at what a moment of mindfulness and presence can do for your day.

1.Rodney Yee's Yoga For Beginners (A great place to start, basics done beautifully).

2. Power Yoga (This is my favorite home yoga DVD, challenging and effective).

Also, here is a youtube video from Brooklyn Yoga School that goes through a traditional sun salutation It's only 7 minutes long and a great way to stretch out your body and ease your mind (as with any exercise program you should consult your doctor before beginning, and LISTEN to your body exercise should be challenging but not painful). I did this in the morning before I headed to my practice!
